HOW DO I WEAR IN AND CARE FOR MY PRODUCTS?
With the right approach and a bit of care, you can ensure a comfortable fit and lasting wear.
FINDING THE PERFECT FIT
Before diving into breaking in your new shoes, ensure you've got the right fit. A properly fitting shoe should feel snug at the heel and midfoot, with wiggle room around the toes.TAKE IT SLOW
Start by wearing your new shoes for short periods, gradually increasing wear time. Wear them around the house initially, so you can easily take them off if discomfort arises. For leather styles, wearing thick socks offers added cushioning and aids in accelerating the softening process. You might also want to consider a leather conditioner, which not only softens the leather but also provides a protective coating.
TIGHTEN UP THOSE LACES
While it may seem counterintuitive, tightening your laces can speed up the break-in process by stretching the upper. Keep your laces snug to encourage the shoe to mold to your foot and prevent rubbing.SILENCE THE SQUEAK
Squeaky shoes are often due to moisture or friction. To fix this, use baby or talcum powder. Where possible, sprinkle powder inside, and let it sit overnight. Shake out excess powder the next day.KEEP UP THE CARE
We recommend using a sneaker protector to form a barrier against dirt and stains, making cleaning easier. For cleaning, promptly remove excess dirt or moisture to prevent long-term damage, always use cleaning products specifically designed for sneakers, and avoid washing them in the machine, as this can damage fastenings and glue. You can shop the full range of shoe care here.

WHY ARE MY LIGHT UP SHOES NOT WORKING?
Styles from the Skechers light up range are designed to last until your child outgrows them.
COMMON REASONS THE LIGHTS MAY NOT BE WORKING
1. THE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF.
Most light up styles will have a ON/OFF button built into the shoe. Check for this button around the outer ankle area, or towards the end of the velcro strap.2. THE LIGHTS MAY NOT BE ACTIVATING.
Light up styles are motion activated in the heel area of the shoe. If your child is particularly light on their feet, or has a tendency to walk on their toes, they may not be putting enough weight on the heel to activate the lights.SAFTEY INFORMATION
Light up styles contain non-replaceable coin batteries. Coin batteries are hazardous and can cause severe or fatal injuries in as little as two hours if swallowed, or placed inside any part of the body.Do not attempt to access the battery, and always keep batteries away from children.
If you think that batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
Light up styles should be kept dry, as submerging in water may cause the lights to fail.
Rechargeable light up styles should only be charged with the cable provided, and not be overcharged, or left plugged in overnight.
